Elmore Magazine Chose
Camp Jam as one of their favorite festivals for the 2010 spring season! Read on...
***"Unlike many of the
larger, over-produced festivals, Camp Jam in the Pines thrives on
simplicity. Located at the Old Cedar Campground near Rowan University,
the festival is a three-day camping and music experience reminiscent of old
school summer camp. With a focus on bluegrass and acoustic
singer/songwriter type music, festivalgoers are treated to up close and
personal performances by New Riders of the Purple Sage, the infamous
Stringdusters, Lower Case Blues, Eilen Jewell and more. Daytime
activities include shuffleboard, playgrounds, basketball, a swimming hole
and a fishing pond, and there is a late night bonfire where campers bond
over jam sessions, communal eating and relaxing under the stars. For "a true
musical experience" and some old-fashioned fun, be sure to hit up Camp Jam
in the Pines..." -Elmore Magazine Favorite Festival Picks May/June 2010 ***
