Countdown
a true musical experience
"You're walkin down a dirt road by some shady grove at dusk. The campsites are glowing in a ring around the lake. There's music in the air, guitars strumming and humming with the cicadas in the cottonwoods, voices raised high wail out across the water and woods and out into the farm fields beyond. They're selling crafts and t-shirts in tents along the road. People stop to talk and laugh and share the music. A poet slips a dog-eared piece of paper into my jacket pocket. It was a good one. You're with a friend drinking a cold beer, she's wearin' your hat, your lucky hat. Your boots are deep in the rut now. The sun slips away, but the music goes on long into the night. You never forget a night like that. It's the real deal. You're at the Camp Jam and you keep going back cause you just can't get enough. I'll see you there."

You think he got it? We think so.
" MUSIC "
Father Time and Mother Nature got together and said
take a second to smell the roses and take this time
wood and brass for your composers
and fill this land with the sound of your souls
for these are the children of time and nature I was told
created to dance among the earth, a song that never grows old~ Paul Trefz ~
Music heals us, when I'm on stage
and look out at the sea of Camp Jammers
I realize, for that one moment in time
we have the power to transcend all
that is negative and ugly.
And we smile and dance together.
United by the music.
